Self-control is one aspect of psychology that is always growing from childhood to adulthood. A
child usually does not have good self-control, so that whatever be
like, what people think, and what is in our hearts, all expressed
spontaneously. For
example, a child who wants to eat, he does not care whether his mother
was receiving guests or being religious, he just cried out for a meal. Likewise, if he was irritated, sometimes toys favored slammed itself.
When
stepping on adolescence, the ability of self-control is very necessary,
because the impulses and passions of desire increasingly menggejolak. Especially
sexual drive and drive aggressively, if a teenager does not have good
self-control, then he will be controlled by impulses, so consequently
there arose diverse forms of juvenile delinquency, such as fighting,
pregnant before marriage and so on. This
self-control is not well developed that would inhibit the maturation
process of a person, because one indication of the level of maturity is
the extent of his ability to control himself. The more a person gets older, the more intelligent he is master and control himself.
